Elder Femi Ikugbayigbe, an aspirant for the chairmanship position in the Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has laid out a comprehensive agenda focused on prioritising the welfare of the people, education, health, and tourism in his campaign for the upcoming Lagos State local government election.
Addressing leaders of various Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) at his residence in Idimu over the weekend, Ikugbayigbe emphasised his commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents. Acknowledged for his educational background, including a National Diploma, Higher National Diploma, and a Bachelor of Arts from notable Nigerian institutions, he expressed his determination to improve child education and boost tourism initiatives within the local government.
As a seasoned administrator and public affairs analyst, Ikugbayigbe highlighted his plans to implement 24-hour healthcare services and prioritise social welfare programs for the elderly. His vision also includes empowering women and youth, promoting grassroots sports, and fostering infrastructural development. Environmental sanitation, support for farmers, and the promotion of religious and cultural activities are integral parts of his agenda.
In his quest to shape a thriving community, he has pledged to collaborate with NGOs, clubs, international organisations, and community groups. “I promise that I’ll not disappoint you if you support me to become the council Chairman,” Ikugbayigbe assured his audience, seeking their backing to bring his vision to fruition.
