In the Name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, may the blessings and peace be upon our beloved master Prophet Muḥammad, the last of Prophets, on his family, and all his companions.
Dear brothers and sisters! Know that, Allah Almighty chose Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) over all of His creation. The following Hadith confirms this. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said:
“Truly, Allah took me as a close friend just as He took Ibrahim as a close friend.” [Muslim]
And Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said:
“Truly, your companion is a close friend of Allah.” [Muslim]
Without doubt, being chosen as a close friend is the highest degree a man can achieve with Allah.
And if this was how Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) was chosen in this world, in the Hereafter Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) will be given an even greater and higher level. And how can this not be the case when he (Peace be upon him) said:
“I will be the master of the children of Adam on the Resurrection Day, the first one whose grave will be opened, the first one to intercede, and the first one who will be allowed to interceded.” [Muslim]
Imam An-Nawawi (may Allah show him mercy) said:
“The Islamic scholars said about Prophet Muhammad’s words, “I will be the master of the children of Adam”, that Prophet Muhammad was not boasting when he said this. In fact, Prophet Muhammad clearly denied that he was boasting in another well-known Hadith related by other than Muslim. However, Prophet Muhammad said this for two reasons: Firstly: Fulfilling the order in Allah’s saying: “And as for the blessings of your Lord, speak out.” [Surah Ad-Duha: 11] Secondly: It is due to him making all details clear, a matter which is obligatory upon him as Prophet Muhammad had to spread the Message to his followers in order for them to know this information, to believe in it, act according to it, and revere him as he should be revered, as Allah ordered us to do. This Hadith is proof that Prophet Muhammad is better than all other creation. This is because the followers of the Sunnah (Ahlus-Sunnah) believe that mankind is better than the angels, and that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the best one from mankind.” [See Imam An-Nawawi’s explanation of Muslim]
Respected brothers and sisters! Here are the rights of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) upon us:
● Supporting Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and defending him
This is one of the clear rights of the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), both during his life and after his death. During his life, the Messenger of Allah’s Companions fulfilled this duty very well. After the Messenger of Allah’s death, defending him entails defending his Sunnah if it is subject to rebuke from critics, misrepresentation by the ignorant or fabrications of liars. The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) himself should be defended if anyone talks badly or sarcastically about him, or describes him in a way that is not suitable for his position as a Prophet of Allah. During our time, there are many defamation campaigns that aim at slandering and insulting the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him). Therefore, all Muslims have to defend their Prophet (Peace be upon him) using all means possible and all methods to pressurise such scoffers until they stop their lies and fabrications, although they will not be able to touch his noble position, as Allah Almighty says:
We are enough for you against the mockers.” [Surah Al-Hijr: 95]
Allah the Most High also says:
“It is the one who hates you who is cut off without an heir.” [Surah Al-Kawthar: 3]
That is, your enemy and the one who hates you will be very inferior and debased. And this truly is the case; praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.
● The individual’s role and Practical ways of supporting Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
These days there are some Muslims and some disbelievers who overstep the limits with regards to Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). Insults from such people have occurred often during our present time. Such acts from the disbelievers are not unusual through history, but what is truly unusual and unexpected is the attitude of some Muslims who ignore such insults, not taking any notice of them at all and not being concerned about such attacks against their religion. In this way, these Muslims do not fulfill the duty of supporting Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him). In fact, is there any good left in us if the disbelievers and mockers try to undermine the position of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), but we do not support and defend him (Peace be upon him)?!!
There are many different ways of supporting Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), for example, here is a summary of an article written by the International Committee to Support the Seal of the Prophets:
Supporting Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) (the role of the individual)
1. Be aware of your love for Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in your hearts when telling the Muslims about his perfect appearance and noble manners and moral, and when reminding them about what a great character Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had and that he (Peace be upon him) was the most handsome and most well-mannered person to have lived on this earth.
2. Appreciate the great benefits he gave us all, as Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) told us about Allah’s religion (Islam) in the best and most thorough way. Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) spread the Message, fulfilled the trust Allah gave him (of telling us about Islam) and advised his Ummah.
3. Love Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) more than we love ourselves, our families and our children.
4. Be polite when dealing with Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and also his Sunnah (collection of sayings, deeds and silent approvals of Prophet Muhammad), and lower your voice in his presence. Allah Almighty says:
“O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet and do not be as loud when speaking to him as you are when speaking to one another, lest your actions should come to nothing without your realising it.” [Surah Al-Hujurat: 2]
Similarly, one should lower one’s voice in his mosque and at Prophet Muhammad’s grave. Allah the Most High says:
“Those who lower their voices when they are with the Messenger of Allah are people whose hearts Allah has tested and proved to be aware of Him. They will have forgiveness and an immense reward.” [Surah Al-Hujurat: 3]
Do not mention his name without referring to the fact that he is a Messenger and Prophet of Allah. Allah the Most High says:
“Do not make your summoning of the Messenger the same as your summoning of one another.”[Surah An-Nur: 63]
5. Read the authentic biography of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), learning from his way of life and contemplating about the different events to learn the wisdom, lessons and benefits that can be gained from all his responses, and try to relate what one learns to our lives today.
6. Follow the Prophet Muhammad’s guidance, his Sunnah, his morals, manners and ways in every aspect of his life: how he (Peace be upon him) used to eat, drink, sleep and dress….being eager to follow his ways (Peace be upon him) in all aspects of our lives.
7. Be careful not to be sarcastic about any of Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah, even if one is only joking.
8. Be happy when knowledge of Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah is spread among the people and people begin to follow his Sunnah. Similarly, one should be upset if some of his Sunnah disappears.
9. Openly reject and show that one dislikes the bad remarks against Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) or his Sunnah, until the people stop insulting him.
10. Cut relations with anyone who makes fun of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) or makes sarcastic remarks about Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in front of others. In fact, one should encourage others to cut relations and avoid such people, warning others from carrying out any dealings with them at all.
● Loving the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
Loving Prophet Muhammed (Peace be upon him) is one of the surest rights and obligations due to him (Peace be upon him) from his Ummah. Anyone who does not love the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is not a believer, even if he bears a Muslim name and lives among them.
The greatest form of love for the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is for a believer to love the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) more than himself, his child, his parents and all the people. Allah Almighty says:
“The Prophet has a high claim on the believers than they have on their own selves.” [Surah Al-Ahzab: 6]
Umar Ibn Al-Khattab said to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him):
“Oh Messenger of Allah, you are more beloved to me than anyone but myself.”
The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said:
“No [this is not correct], by Him in Whose hands is my life, not until I am more beloved to you than yourself.”
So Umar said:
“Truly now, by Allah, you are more beloved to me than myself.”
The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied:
“Now, Oh Umar [this is correct].” [Al-Bukhari]
We can see how much his Companions and his followers loved him more than they loved themselves. Concerning this, we can recall the Hadith (a saying of the Messenger of Allah) of how an even inanimate object longed for him.
Whenever Hasan Al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned the Hadith of how the tree trunk yearned for the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), he used to say, “Oh Muslims, some wood yearned for the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), longing to meet him! There is more reason for you to long to meet him!”
● Following the ways of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
Following the ways of the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is clear proof of one’s belief in him. To claim one believes in the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) but not following his ways is a false claim. Belief is what has become settled in the heart and what is verified by one’s actions. Allah tests and examines those who claim to love the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) by saying:
“Say [O Messenger of Allah], ´If you love Allah, then follow me and Allah will love you and forgive you for your wrong actions. Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.´ Say [O Messenger of Allah], ´Obey Allah and the Messenger.´ Then if they turn away, Allah does not love the disbelievers}.” [Surah Ali-Imran: 31-32]
He the Most High also says:
“So accept whatever the Messenger gives you and abstain from whatever he forbids you.” [Surah Al-Hashr: 7]
Allah clarified that His mercy is only given to those who follow the Messenger of Allah Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and take him as their role model. Allah Almighty says:
“My mercy extends to all things, but I will prescribe it for those who are righteous and pay zakat (obligatory alms), and those who believe in Our signs: those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered Prophet.” [Surah Al-Araf: 156-157]
Moreover, Allah the Most High warns those who do not follow the Messenger of Allah’s guidance, that is those who do not obey his orders, with a painful punishment. He the Most High says:
“Those who oppose his command should beware of a testing trial that will come to them or a painful punishment that will strike them.” [Surah An-Nur: 63]
There are different ways people do not follow the Messenger of Allah’s guidance: by not being bothered or interested about what the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said; by claiming that the Qur’an by itself is sufficient and one does not need the Messenger of Allah’s Sunnah (collection of sayings, deeds and silent approvals of the Messenger of Allah); and by talking badly about the Messenger of Allah’s Sunnah and saying it is not suitable for the present era. All such people do not pass the following test:
“Say [O Messenger of Allah], ´If you love Allah, then follow me and Allah will love you and forgive you for your wrong actions. Allah is Ever-Forgiving, Most Merciful.´ Say [O Messenger of Allah], ´Obey Allah and the Messenger.´ Then if they turn away, Allah does not love the disbelievers.” [Surah Al-Imran: 31-32]
● Respecting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) when he was alive and after his death
This is also a right of the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) which many people do not fulfill. Allah Almighty says:
“We have sent you bearing witness, bringing good news and giving warnings. So that you might all have belief in Allah and His Messenger and honour him and respect him, and glorify Him (Allah) in the morning and the evening.” [Surah Al-Fath: 8, 9]
To honour and respect him means to hold him in respect and think well of him, and to give him his rights. Some examples of how the Messenger of Allah’s Companions used to honour and respect the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) include: If the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) spoke, they would listen very attentively to him (Peace be upon him), to the extent that birds could settle on their heads. When Allah Almighty revealed His saying:
“O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet and do not be as loud when speaking to him as you are when speaking to one another, lest your actions should come to nothing without your realising it.” [Surah Al-Hujurat: 2]
Abubakar (may Allah be pleased with him) said:
“By Allah, I will not talk to you after this except like one who whispers.”
As for respecting the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) after his death, it means to follow the Messenger of Allah’s Sunnah (practices of the Messenger of Allah), respect his words, lower one’s voice in the Messenger of Allah’s mosque and at his grave, and not act differently from his Sunnah, relying on other people’s personal understanding of any situation or their individual beliefs instead.
● Loving those who are close to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and hating his enemies
Allah the Most High says:
“You will not find people who believe in Allah and the Last Day having love for anyone who opposes Allah and His Messenger, though they be their fathers, their sons, their brothers or their clan. Allah has inscribed belief upon such people’s hearts and will reinforce them with inspiration from Him.” [Surah Al-Mujadilah: 22]
Loving the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) entails loving and respecting those of his family who entered Islam and acted on his Sunnah (collection of sayings, deeds and silent approvals of the Messenger of Allah).
The Messenger of Allah’s family include his wives, descendants and his relatives, those for whom charity is forbidden. It is not permissible to speak ill about them or to insult them. Similarly, it is not permissible to claim that they are infallible or to supplicate them instead of supplicating Allah. Love of the Messenger of Allah’s Companions who believed in him (Peace be upon him) and believed all that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said entails not talking badly about them at all, as Allah praises them when He says in His Glorious Book (Qur’an):
“Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are fierce to the disbelievers, merciful to one another. You see them bowing and prostrating, seeking Allah’s good favour and His pleasure. Their mark is on their faces: traces of prostration.” [Surah Al-Fath: 29]
It is obligatory on every Muslim to love the Messenger of Allah’s family and his Companions, and be good to them, and also know their rights, praise them and take them as an example to follow. A Muslim should not delve into any disagreements the Companions had between themselves, be hostile to their enemies, those who insult them, or those who talk badly about them. At the same time, one should love the knowledgeable people who spread the Messenger of Allah’s Sunnah and guidance, and who are loyal to him. One should also avoid those who speak badly about the Companions, trying to lower their good reputation. In a similar way, a Muslim should love all those who follow the Messenger of Allah’s Sunnah and take him (Peace be upon him) as an example to follow. Furthermore, a Muslim has to be hostile to the Messenger of Allah’s enemies among the disbelievers, hypocrites and those who have broken ties with the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), his family or his Companions. The Muslim should also be hostile to those who perform innovations (Bid’ahs) in the religion or any other form of misguidance.
● The role of Muslim leaders, governments and politicians in supporting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
1. Send delegations of Imams, Islamic scholars and preachers to the world to spread Islam and knowledge about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), his call and his reputable manners.
2. Support events that aim to spread knowledge about the Prophet’s noble biography.
3. Publish books and posters which illustrate the ways of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his rights, addressing the wrong ideas some unbelievers have about him (Peace be upon him).
4. Contribute to the establishment of satellite channels, radio stations and magazines that talk about Islam and its call in different languages.
5. Establish centres specialising in research and studies into the Prophet’s biography, translating it into different languages.
6. Establish museums and special libraries that display exhibits and books about the Prophet’s biography and his traditions.
7. Set up websites on the internet that specialise in the Prophet’s biography and Sunnah (collection of sayings, deeds and silent approvals of the Prophet).
8. Print and publish books, video tapes and programs which highlight the virtuous qualities of the religion, particularly in languages other than Arabic.
9. Support competitions about the Prophet’s biography.
● Not raising the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) above his rightful position
The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is a human; he is affected by what affects humans of illnesses and death. The only difference between the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) and other people is that he received revelation. Allah Almighty says:
“Say [O Messenger of Allah], ´I am only a human being like yourselves who has received revelation.” [Surah Al-Kahf: 110]
Similarly, Allah told us that the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) did not know the unseen, as He the Most High says:
“Say [O Messenger of Allah], ‘I possess no power to help or harm myself, except as Allah wills. If I had had knowledge of the unseen, I would have sought to gain much good and no evil would have touched me. I am only a warner and a bringer of good news to people who have faith.” [Surah Al-Araf: 188]
In fact, when the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) wanted to supplicate against certain people, Allah Almighty said to him:
“You have no part in the affair. Either He will turn towards them or He will punish them, for they are wrongdoers.” [Surah Al-Imran: 128]
The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) warned us about raising him above his proper position when he (Peace be upon him) said:
“Do not exaggerate my praises as the Christians have done with Jesus, the son of Mary.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is held in a high position in Allah’s eyes, but to put him in too high position as the Christians did with Jesus (Peace be upon him) by giving him some divine attributes, like knowledge of the unseen, or to direct some forms of worship towards him is a crime against the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) which he warned us about.
● Spreading the Prophet Muhammad’s call and telling others about his guidance
One way to fulfill the rights due to the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) is to spread his Message throughout the globe and tell others about the Messenger of Allah’s call.
The Muslims have to fulfill the role for which Allah brought them to life, which is to call others to Allah and tell them about this religion (Islam) as well as telling others to do good and to avoid bad, as Allah the Most High says:
“You are the best nation ever to be produced before mankind. You enjoin the right, forbid the wrong and believe in Allah.” [Surah Al-Imran: 110]
● The role of Islamic leaders, Imams, Sheikhs, Islamic scholars, Preachers, and Students of Knowledge in supporting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
1. Tell the people about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his remarkable qualities as much as possible, not only on social media, but also using different forms of media (written, video and audio).
2. Spread details about the characteristics of the Prophet’s call and his Message, and make these details clear to the people. Moreover, explain that he was sent with the same noble monotheistic religion of Prophet Ibrahim, and that the basic reason Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) called others to Allah was his desire for the people to be guided and to dedicate their worship to only the Lord of all the worlds.
3. Spread knowledge about his perfect appearance and eminent morals and manners as well as his biography, his guidance, his great integrity, his rights, and his upright characteristics and virtues.
4. Explain how the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) acted with his family, his neighbours, his Companions and his enemies.
5. Explain the Prophet’s daily way of life.
6. Arrange lessons, lectures and sermons to tell people about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and explain his guidance and Sunnah.
7. Correct wrong ideas which the common folk have about the Sunnah of the chosen Propeht Muhammad (Peace be upon him), and call the people to adhere to his teachings mentioned in his authentic Hadiths, using simple and clear language.
8. Explain the Islamic scholar’s fatwas (legal rulings) that clarify the ruling about those who disparage the nation’s Messenger (Peace be upon him), and explain that it is obligatory to dislike those who spread such lies and to reject their accusations.
9. Refute any suspicions and lies spread about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his biography, clarifying such false rumours using logical explanations, proofs and evidence.
● The role of those who work on the internet and Social media handlers in supporting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
1. Produce websites and forums that talk about the Prophet’s biography, highlighting the good qualities of the religion he (Peace be upon him) brought.
2. Producing and distributing CD’s that talk about the character of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him), his virtuous qualities and illustrious attributes.
3. Spread information about the Prophet’s Sunnah and tell others about his guidance using emails that contain the Prophet’s Hadiths and wise sayings.
4. Send thousands of strong and powerful emails to Western organisations and universities that repudiate and also denounce the false allegations and sarcastic comments about the Prophet of Islam and his noble position, categorically rejecting such false sayings completely.
5. Attach some of the Prophet’s Hadiths and wise sayings at the end of emails that are sent to non-Muslim mailing lists.
6. Make people acquainted about the Prophet’s character through messages translated into the different languages for Western readers, sending these messages to non-Arab mailing lists and publishing them in non-Muslim forums.
7. Every now and then, prepare email newsletters about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his call, especially on special occasions and when events on the news dictate this.
8. Place advertisements on well-known search engines that advertise books and lectures talking about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
● Referring to the Prophet Muhammad’s Sunnah when searching for rulings and then ruling by them
Allah the Most High says:
“No, by your Lord, they are not believers until they make you their judge in the disputes that break out between them, and then find no resistance within themselves to what you decide and submit themselves completely.” [Surah An-Nisa’i: 65]
Those who believe in the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) have to adhere to the Islamic Laws and his Sunnah in all problems that arise in their lives, following the rules in total satisfaction and submission. Allah Almighty says:
“When Allah and His Messenger have decided something, it is not for any man or woman of the believers to claim to have [freedom of] choice about it.” [Surah Al-Ahzab: 36]
It refers to instant submission to what the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) ordered us to do. There is no choice for the Muslim or the need to convince him with regards to these orders. Allah Almighty says:
“So accept whatever the Messenger gives you and abstain from whatever he forbids you.” [Surah Al-Hashr: 7]
● Sending prayers upon the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) when mentioning his name
Allah orders the believers to send prayers upon the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him). He Almighty says:
“Allah and His angels send blessings on the Prophet. O you who believe, send blessings on him and ask for complete peace and safety for him.” [Surah Al-Ahzab: 56]
And the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) clarified for us the benefits of sending prayers on him (Peace be upon him).
And the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) described those who do not send prayers on him when his name is mentioned as being miserly.
A Muslim is hard-hearted if he hears someone mention the Messenger of Allah’s name but is too miserly with himself to send prayers on the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him). Imam Ahmad related that a Companion once asked him (Peace be upon him):
“Oh Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him), I often send prayers upon you; so how many prayers should I send upon you?’ The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied, ‘If you like (keep doing this), but if you send more prayers upon me, it will be better for you.’ The Companion said, ‘Half (of my supplications)?’ The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) said, ‘If you like, but if you send more it will be better for you.’ He said, ‘Two-thirds (of my supplications)?’ The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied, ‘If you like, but if you send more it will be better for you.’ The Companion then said, ‘Should I make all my supplications sending prayers upon you?’ The Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) replied, ‘This will be sufficient for your worries and make you have your sins forgiven.” [Imam Ahmad, in Musnad]
In this way, the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him) encouraged the people to often send prayers upon him (Peace be upon him) and made clear the great benefits one receives by doing this.
● Respecting the sanctity of the Prophet Muhammad’s mosque, his grave and his city
Allah the Most High says:
“O you who believe, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet and do not be as loud when speaking to him as you are when speaking to one another…” [Surah Al-Hujurat: 2]
That is, a Muslim has to lower his voice in the Messenger of Allah’s mosque and at his grave, respecting the sanctity of his mosque and his grave. In a similar way, a Muslim has to respect the sanctity of the Messenger of Allah’s city because of his saying:
“…I have made Madinah a sanctuary.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]
● The role of intellectuals, thinkers, and people who work in the media and Journalists in supporting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
1. Producing special programs on satellite channels and social media that teach people about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and tell them about his character and noble manners.
2. Produce TV shows that talk about the Prophet’s call, its aim, and its special features.
3. Hold meetings and seminars with unbiased non-Muslims talking about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message and increasing awareness of his call.
4. Hold seminars and forums to clarify the way of life the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) lived and his biography, keeping pace with events on the news.
5. Hold competitions about the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and allocate valuable prizes for the winners.
6. Write articles and stories about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) using a language which is appropriate for today’s readers.
7. Allocate special columns in the daily newspapers and magazines that explain verses of the Qur’an and Hadiths that lay down the obligation of loving the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
8. Encourage media production companies as well as satellite and terrestrial TV channels to produce programs and special videos about the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and how he (Peace be upon him) dealt with others. All of this should be carried out in a professional and interesting manner.
● The role of the rich, wealthy and voluntary organisations in supporting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)
1. Issue a monthly magazine or periodical about the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and especially his biography to highlight his teachings and attitudes with his enemies and how he dealt with them.
2. Translate books of the Prophet’s biography into many different languages to spread information about his Sunnah and his call across the globe.
3. Hold international Islamic conferences that clarify the tolerant and easy nature of the Prophet’s call and to reply to his opponents with regards to their lies and fabrications.
4. Allocate places for exhibitions and conferences to present books, video and audio tapes and brochures that explain the main points about this righteous Message.
5. Print books of the Prophet’s biography in different languages and distribute them throughout the world.
6. Allocate charity boxes to collect money to spend on supporting the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
7. Rent some airtime on channels to present short clips about Islam and the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him).
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Prayers, peace and mercy are upon our beloved master, Prophet Muhammad, the son of Abdullah (Peace be upon him), his family and Companions.

By Imam Murtadha Gusau-Okene
