How to check your results via SMS

To check your NECO 2025 result via SMS, ensure you have at least N50 airtime. Since you don’t have internet access, you can get your tokens from local vendors. These people get the tokens from the portal and sell them.

Step 1: Open your phone’s messaging app.

Step 2: Type your NECO details into a single message, without spaces, in the format: NECOExamNoPINExamYear.

  • NECOExamNo: Your NECO exam number.
  • PIN: Your token
  • ExamYear: The year the exam was taken.

Step 3: Send the message to the NECO official SMS number, 32327. Then wait for the reply, which will contain your NECO result.

In short, send an SMS in the format NECO*ExamNo*PIN*ExamYear (without spaces) to the official NECO SMS number, which is 32327.

For instance, if your exam number is 12345678AB, your token is 686442341122, and the year is 2025, you would send the message: NECO*12345678AB*686442341122*2025 to 32327.

Common errors in checking your result online

When checking your result online, there are chances of encountering a technical glitch or concerning responses. While it can be disturbing, the errors might be related to one or two of the following.

1. Load error

This can occur when there’s congestion on the result checking portal. You can consider switching to another browser or accessing it using a laptop. If errors persist, try again late in the night or at midnight.

2. “Result not found”

At every examination, candidates encounter issues relating to the absence of results. Before panicking, you should consider rechecking the details you entered, such as the exam number or year. You can recheck their exam slip and try again.

If the outcome persists, it might mean your result has been withheld. You can check the NECO portal for updates or contact their support line: [email protected]. Candidates can also contact their exam school for more support.

3. “Invalid token” error

This error appears when there’s a mismatch with the PIN. It means you’ve typed the wrong PIN from your token. You can double-check the token and also contact the vendor.
