Pastor Paul Adefarasin, founder of House on the Rock Church, has said Nigeria’s existence was not ordained by God but engineered by British colonial powers to serve their economic interests.
Delivering a sermon on Sunday, Adefarasin dismissed the belief that God created Nigeria, insisting its foundation was shaped by political deals and colonial influence.
He cited The Martyrdom of Man, a historical book, while linking Nigeria’s formation to agreements between European empires.
“This is not a political forum, but the church must get right what man got wrong,” he added, stressing the church’s role as the “light of the world and salt of the earth.”
