House Of Reps Member Dumps NNPP For APC

A member of the House of Representatives elected under the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Yusuf Galambi has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Naija News reports that his defection was announced in a letter addressed to the House leadership and read on the floor during Thursday’s plenary by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas.

Galambi, who represents Gwaram Federal Constituency of Jigawa State, attributed his decision to directives from his constituency and the ongoing leadership crisis within the NNPP.

“This is not a personal decision but a directive from the constituency I represent,” he stated.

His move follows the recent defection of three lawmakers from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to the APC, further strengthening the ruling party’s presence in the House of Representatives.
