“This is part of our service to the people and also a way of seeking Allah’s blessings for Katsina,” Radda said.

In addition to cemetery renovations, Governor Radda unveiled a new welfare package for traditional and religious leaders.

“We are committed to improving the living standards of our District Heads and ward heads. Their contributions are vital to the development of our communities,” he stated.

He explained that a new law passed by the State House of Assembly would raise the salaries of all District Heads to at least Grade Level 16.

He further highlighted, “Over 3,000 Imams and their deputies will receive stipends, and sweepers in our mosques will also get allowances.

“This ensures that those who serve the spiritual and communal needs of our people are well supported.”

Radda added that over 1,500 youths have been trained and equipped to support security operations in the state.

“Security is a collective responsibility. Every citizen has a role to play in keeping Katsina safe,” he emphasized.

Senator Ibrahim Ida, the Wazirin Katsina, who represented Emir Alhaji Abdulmumini Kabir-Usman, praised the governor’s commitment, saying, “Governor Radda’s efforts reflect his dedication to both the welfare and security of our emirates.

“These initiatives will have a lasting impact on the people of Katsina.”
