Gov Uba Sani Decorates CSP Maibindiga for Anti-Banditry Role

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has personally decorated Usman Maibindiga, Commander of Operation Fushin Kada, with his new rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) following his promotion from Superintendent of Police (SP).

Operation Fushin Kada is a specialised joint security task force launched by the Uba Sani administration in partnership with the Kaduna State Police Command to combat banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of violent crime throughout the state.

Praising the promotion as richly deserved, Governor Sani highlighted Maibindiga’s exemplary hard work, bravery, and professionalism.

He commended the officer’s outstanding leadership in directing field operations that have successfully restored peace to multiple areas of Kaduna State.

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the welfare of security operatives, declaring that “individuals like CSP Maibindiga embody the sacrifice and patriotism that Kaduna State holds dear.”

A native of Nguru in Yobe State, CSP Maibindiga holds degrees in Computer Science, International Affairs, and Diplomacy, along with a postgraduate diploma in International Law and Diplomacy.

Since enlisting in the Nigeria Police Force in 2014, he has occupied key roles and spearheaded effective anti-crime operations in the North-West and North-East regions.

In a light-hearted moment, Governor Sani extended congratulations to Maibindiga’s wife and their newborn son, Usman Zunnurain, dubbing the infant “the Baby of the Year” and “a true child of Kaduna State.”

The decoration ceremony drew senior security figures, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations), as well as members of Maibindiga’s family.
