GOMBE – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Department of State Security (DSS) has held a crucial meeting towards strengthening collaboration on security issues between the two agencies in Gombe State.
The Gombe State Commandant of the NSCDC, Gyama Gyawiya, assured his DSS counterpart of the NSCDC’s commitment in sharing vital information to prevent threats and maintain peace in the state.
On his part, the State Director of the DSS, Haruna N Koko, pledged to support capacity building initiatives within the NSCDC.
He emphasized the importance of working together, acknowledging that no single organization can achieve its goals alone.
The meeting, according to Buhari Saad, Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Gombe State Command, was held at the Command’s Headquarters in Gombe.
He said, the aim of the meeting was to strengthen the existing partnership between the two organizations, focusing on enhanced collaboration, intelligence sharing, and cooperation.
“This strategic meeting marks a significant step towards fostering a stronger, more collaborative relationship between the DSS and NSCDC in Gombe State, ultimately contributing to a safer, more secure environment for citizens,” Buhari Sa’ad emphasized.
