The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has commended the Nigerian Army Corps of Supply and Transport (NACST) for its exceptional and unwavering support, saying it has been crucial to the Division’s successful execution of assigned tasks.

Major General Mijinyawa gave the commendation weekend during a familiarisation visit by the Commander, Corps of Supply and Transport, Major General Nansak Danjuma Shagaya, to the Division’s Headquarters in Victoria Island, Lagos.

The GOC highlighted that since his assumption of office, NACST has been highly supportive to 81 Division, specifically through the provision of drivers, catering services, and other critical logistics. 

He noted that these essential services have contributed significantly to the successful accomplishment of the Division’s operations.

Major General Mijinyawa congratulated Major General Shagaya on his appointment as the Commander of NACST and lauded the Corps’ officers and soldiers for their professionalism and unwavering commitment.

He expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship between the Division and NACST, assuring the visiting commander of his commitment to sustaining and strengthening the existing cooperation. 

Earlier, Major General Nansak Danjuma Shagaya stated that the purpose of his visit was to familiarize himself with the Division and reinforce the existing partnership between NACST and 81 Division.

He highlighted new programmes and initiatives aimed at repositioning the Corps for enhanced efficiency and encouraged the Division to take full advantage of them. Major General Shagaya concluded by assuring the GOC of NACST’s continuous support.
