The General Officer Commanding (GOC), 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has charged newly promoted soldiers under the Division’s command to maintain the highest standard of discipline, hard work, and dedication in their duties.
Major General Mijinyawa gave the charge in statement during the decoration ceremony held at the Division’s Headquarters Complex, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The ceremony saw several soldiers elevated to new ranks, recognising their commitment and professional conduct from Warrant Officers (WO) Staff Sergeant Babagana Abacha and Staff Sergeant Kassim Musediku were decorated with the ranks of Warrant Officers. Also six Sergeants were elevated to the rank of Staff Sergeant and four Corporals were promoted to Sergeants as well as three Lance Corporals were decorated with the rank of Corporals.
While congratulating the soldiers, the GOC commended their high sense of discipline, commitment, and professional conduct, noting that their dedication was crucial to achieving the Chief of Army Staff’s Command philosophy for the year.
