British broadcaster, Piers Morgan has assured the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria, Yusuf Tuggar, that his recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored will be aired in its entirety.
Morgan stated this to address Tuggar’s concerns that selective editing could misrepresent his remarks on the alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria.
Recall that Tuggar had earlier posted on his X account, calling for the full and unedited broadcast of his interview with Morgan.
The Minister cautioned that selective editing might distort Nigeria’s image and propagate “misleading narratives and allegations of religious persecution in Nigeria.”
Tugger added that, “Nigeria’s truth must not be distorted to fit external biases.”
Responding to Tuggar on X, Morgan simply wrote: “You seem to be panicking, Foreign Minister. Rest assured, we will air your comments in full. The show is called Uncensored for a reason. Whether people believe what you said remains to be seen.”
Meanwhile, the complete interview had yet to be released on the programme’s official platforms as of the time of filing this report.
