Galatasaray speak on selling Osimhen

Galatasaray president, Dursun Ozbek, has confirmed that the club is willing to listen to offers for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen, who joined the Turkish champions on a permanent deal in the summer after a successful loan spell from Napoli, played a key role in helping the Yellow and Reds secure a domestic double last season.

Galatasaray beat stiff competition from Saudi Pro League giants Al Hilal to secure his signature, with the club viewing the forward as a long-term asset and a major boost to their attacking options.

However, recent reports have linked the 25-year-old with a move to Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, who are reportedly monitoring his situation in Istanbul.

Speaking in an interview with GT Spor and Haberturk TV, Ozbek said the club remains open to a future sale if the right offer comes.

“We said that if we bought Osimhen, Galatasaray will benefit from this deal. Given his age and performance, he’s a player who can be sold to another club at any time,” the president stated.

Ozbek’s comments further fuel speculation that Osimhen could be on the move again, with interest in the striker continuing to rise across Europe.
