Galatasaray have made an approach to Manchester City regarding centre-back Manuel Akanji.
This is according to European transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (via Tribuna).
The Turkish Super Lig champions have also been in contact with Akanji’s agent as they explore the possibility of bringing the Swiss international to Istanbul.
At this stage, the decision ultimately rests with Akanji, who has yet to make a final choice about his future.
The 27-year-old still has a contract with City running until June 2027.
Last season, Akanji featured in 41 games, scoring one goal.
According to Tribuna.com, Akanji’s value is €28m while his annual salary is €10.8m.
Galatasaray have already acquired the services of Leroy Sane from Bayern Munich and Victor Osimhen from Napoli.
This is Osimhen’s second spell at Galatasaray after spending last season on loan where he helped them win the league and Cup.
