Gaise Baba Leads Popular Secular Artists On Nigeria’s 2025 YouTube Music Chart


American social media and online video sharing platform, YouTube, has released its 2025 Nigeria Rankings, unveiling the platforms, creators and music videos that defined Nigerian viewership this year.

The streaming platform named gospel singer Akinade Ibuoye, popularly known as “Gaise Baba” and Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli as its standout artistes of 2025.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa, Addy Awofisayo, as reported by PunchOnline on Wednesday.

Gaise Baba’s “No Turning Back II,” featuring music minister, Lawrence Oyor, led the music category as Nigeria’s most-watched YouTube music video of the year.

The video, released on May 16, quickly became a national anthem, earning over 41 million views in just six months.
