Federal University Lafia, Nasarawa state on Thursday matriculated 8,000 students into the institution for the 2024/2025 academic season.
Vice chancellor of the University Prof. Shehu AbdulRahman disclosed this during the matriculation in Lafia.
He congratulated the students for securing admission into the University, urging them to embrace self – discipline and pursue their studies with seriousness.
He charged the new students to respect each other as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff of the University to make their stay fruitful and productive.
The VC who was represented by the Deputy VC academic Prof. Alemchi Chuku, said they should be modest and decent in their dressing and adhere strictly to the rules enshrined in the university handbook.
He stated that the University has zero tolerance for any form of misconduct and would be deal with for any unpleasant behavior.
” We do not permit the activities of anti-social groups, in particular anyone caught indulging in cult group activities will be expelled from the institution,” he said.
He however, called on them to be of good character, saying that the University is committed to providing quality education to produce quality graduates who could become future leaders of the country.
