The Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, was on Monday evening spotted at the Presidential Villa, where he came to visit President Bola Tinubu.

The Governor was later ushered into the President’s office where they had a brief meeting.

Fubara’s visit to the Villa comes after members of the Rivers State House of Assembly announced their defection to the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC).

It is not clear if Fubara has made up his mind to cross carpet, following the deepening crisis in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fubara who was suspended by the Federal Government, following a declaration of a state of emergency was later reinstated after six months.

He declined to talk to State House Correspondents on his mission to the State House, Abuja.
