Fubara Resumption + Wike Says Tinubu Respects Rule Of Law + Kimmel Suspended Over Charlie Kirk – Trending With OjyO kpe

In Rivers State, thousands of people faced disappointment as Governor Siminalayi Fubara failed to resume office despite the lifting of the six month state of emergency rule.

Neither Fubara nor his Deputy Professor Ngozi Odu appeared at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

Meanwhile, the Rivers State House of Assembly passed a motion to probe the state’s finances during the emergency administration.

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike said on live TV that he drove to Fubara’s house at 1am during the state’s local government elections, insisting that no decision was taken without Fubara’s input during the emergency rule.

During a flag off ceremony in Abuja, Wike also criticized individuals who disrespect President Tinubu, saying they are ‘fortunate’ he respects the rule of law.

Speaking of free speech, Jimmy Kimmel’s show in the US was suspended by ABC after he was accused by Trump supporters of attempting to portray Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer as ‘one of them’.

President Obama then criticized the Trump administration for threatening regulations against media companies.

In other news, Presidential Adviser Daniel Bwala defended Seyi Tinubu’s right to contest for Lagos State Governor, despite being President Tinubu’s son.

Bwala also criticized Peter Obi’s charity efforts, putting in question the scale and quality of his donations – saying he has never given more than N50 Million.

In Lagos, President Tinubu, the First Lady Remi Tinubu and Governor Sanwo-Olu have all expressed their condolences to the victims of the Afriland Towers fire.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of Heirs Holdings and Afriland Properties Tony Elumelu said he was ‘shattered’ by the incident, calling it a devastating loss for all.

Also in Lagos, the government has opened an investigation into a viral video showing students allegedly smoking and drinking in a dormitory. The Education Commissioner Jamiu Alli-Balogun said the incident is being treated with the utmost seriousness.
