The 70s/80s Keffi Elites Forum in Nasarawa state has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving and awarding the contract for the rehabilitation of the Keffi–Nasarawa–Toto–Abaji Road in the Nasarawa West Senatorial District.
In a statement issued by the chairman of the Forum, Comrade Lawal Ramalan Maizabo, and made available to newsmen on Monday, the group described the approval as a landmark decision that underscores President Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural renewal, economic integration, and national development.
Comrade Maizabo noted that the rehabilitation of the road will significantly enhance mobility, trade, commerce, and security across the region.
The Forum also lauded Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule, for his tireless efforts and strategic engagement in ensuring the success of the project.
“His persistent advocacy and constructive collaboration with the Presidency and relevant federal authorities played a vital role in securing the Federal Government’s approval for the award of this important road project,” the statement said.
It further commended the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, for his prompt mobilisation of personnel and machinery for inspection and early commencement of the rehabilitation work.
“His proactive leadership and commitment to quality delivery have rekindled public confidence in the government’s infrastructural drive,” the Forum added.
The statement also acknowledged the contributions of Sen. Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, representing Nasarawa West Senatorial District, for his consistent follow-ups, advocacy, and coordination at various levels of government toward achieving the milestone.
The Forum expressed confidence that the rehabilitation of the Keffi–Nasarawa–Toto–Abaji Road will be executed to the highest standards and completed within schedule, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
