Flooding submerges road linking Jigawa to Kano, Gombe, Bauchi

Flooding has chopped disconnected the road connecting Jigawa State to Kano, Gombe and Bauchi states.

Spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Jigawa State Command, ASC Badruddeen Tijjani Mahmud, confirmed this successful a connection issued to newsmen.

“The large road connecting Birninkudu to Malawa, Babaldu, and neighboring states Gombe and Bauchi has been wholly submerged by flooded making it hard for motorists,” helium said.

The Jigawa NSCDC spokesperson advised motorists to instrumentality alternate routes to debar the affected area.

“The concern is critical. We impulse each motorists to workout caution and instrumentality alternate routes to guarantee their safety.”

Badruddeen added that NSCDC unit person been deployed to the country to redirect motorists and support order.

He said the flood besides affected adjacent communities, with residents reporting harm to homes and farmlands.
