A two-storey building under construction collapsed in the Alimosho area of Lagos State on Thursday, trapping several workers.
The structure, located at Modupeola Street, Mangoro Bus Stop, caved in around 4 a.m.
Emergency responders and local residents quickly mobilized, digging through the rubble to save those trapped.

After some hours, five men were eventually rescued alive and rushed to a nearby private hospital for treatment.
One of the victims, a 44-year-old man who sustained fractures and bruises, was later transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Surgical Emergency Unit for further care.
The Lagos State Government has launched an investigation into the cause of the collapse. Officials said necessary steps would be taken to prevent similar incidents.
Confirming the incident, Margaret Adeseye, Controller General of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, said her team received a distress call at 5:39 a.m. and arrived at the scene at 6:24 a.m.
Adeseye explained that the affected building, originally a bungalow, was being converted into a two-storey structure while residents still occupied the ground floor.
The collapse, she noted, occurred at the rear section.
“The incident involved a partial collapse at the back of the building. Five adult male construction workers were rescued with varying degrees of injuries and taken to hospital. No fatalities were recorded,” she said.
Responding units included firefighters from the Ikeja and Agege stations.
