Around 100 firefighters were deployed in the early hours of Saturday after a fire broke out at the former BBC headquarters, Television Centre, in London’s White City.
According to the London Fire Brigade, crews from Hammersmith, North Kensington, Kensington, Chiswick, and nearby stations were called shortly after 3 a.m. local time (0200 GMT) to tackle the blaze at the nine-storey building.
The fire has spread to upper floors of the structure, affecting a restaurant, external decking, and ducting, with concerns that several flats may also have been impacted.
While the cause of the fire remains unknown, authorities confirmed there have been no reports of injuries or fatalities. Firefighters continue efforts to contain the blaze and assess damage to the landmark site, which was once the hub of BBC broadcasting operations.
