FIFA has unveiled three official mascots for the 2026 World Cup, the first edition to be jointly hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The trio — Maple™ the Moose (Canada), Zayu™ the Jaguar (Mexico) and Clutch™ the Bald Eagle (USA) — were introduced on Wednesday as symbols of unity, diversity and the shared spirit of football ahead of the expanded 48-team tournament scheduled for June 11 to July 19, 2026.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino described them as “full of joy, energy and togetherness,” adding that the characters would help bring the competition to life both on and off the pitch. For the first time in World Cup history, the mascots will also be featured as playable characters in the upcoming FIFA Heroes video game and in FIFA Super League Soccer on Roblox.

Each mascot reflected its host nation’s culture: Maple represents Canada’s resilience and creativity; Zayu embodies Mexico’s jungle heritage and traditions; and Clutch symbolizes the United States’ fearless spirit and leadership. The characters will appear at matches, fan zones, community events, and on official FIFA merchandise.
