FG Awards N200,000 to Global English Contest Winner, Nafisah Abdullahi



The Federal Government of Nigeria honored Nafisah Abdullahi, the brilliant young winner of the prestigious TeenEagle global finals English competition, with a cash prize of N200,000. 

The event, which took place in the capital city of Abuja, celebrated academic excellence and Nigeria’s commitment to nurturing young talent.

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, presented the award to Nafisah, commending her outstanding performance on the global stage. 

“Nafisah’s achievement is a testament to the potential of Nigerian youth and the importance of investing in education,” Dr. Alausa said during his address. 

He highlighted the government’s dedication to supporting initiatives that empower students to compete internationally and bring pride to the nation.

Nafisah, a beaming teenager, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that the award would inspire her to pursue her academic and career goals with even greater determination. 

The TeenEagle competition, known for challenging young minds in critical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving, saw Nafisah outshine participants from across the globe, earning her the top spot.

The ceremony was attended by education stakeholders, family members, and fellow students, who cheered as Nafisah received her award. 

This recognition of Nafisah Abdullahi is expected to inspire other students to participate in global competitions and showcase Nigeria’s intellectual prowess on the world stage.
