The Lagos State Police Command is grieving the sudden passing of CSP Matilda Ngbanoyen, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Festac Division, who died on October 24, 2025. during medical treatment at Mayriamville Medical Centre in Bode Thomas, Surulere.
The officer was undergoing a procedure for fibroid treatment when the tragic incident occurred.Following the report of her death, a delegation from the Lagos State Police Command promptly visited the hospital to verify the circumstances and coordinate necessary actions.
“The corpse was evacuated to a public morgue for preservation and autopsy,” a police source confirmed, as investigations into the cause of death commenced.
CSP Ngbanoyen was celebrated as a dedicated and disciplined officer, known for her unwavering commitment and professionalism in serving the Nigeria Police Force. Her contributions to maintaining security and order in Festac Division earned her respect among colleagues and the community alike.
