A Nigerian spa owner stirs reactions online after sharing a video capturing the moment she paid an unannounced visit to her workplace and caught her staff off guard.
The woman, identified by the handle @makaicemedspa on TikTok, walked into her spa only to find two of her employees engaging in activities unrelated to work.
Boss shows up unexpectedly
One of the staff was seen lying on a spa bed, scrolling through TikTok, while another was busy chatting on the phone, reportedly with her boyfriend.
Workers get shocked
The unexpected visit left the workers visibly shocked as they scrambled to defend themselves and apologised profusely, promising that the incident would not repeat itself.
The viral video has since attracted mixed reactions from social media users, with many employers relating to the situation and commending the spa owner for her surprise inspection.
Reacting to the video, a Nigerian businesswoman, Ekechi Annabel, shared a similar experience, revealing that she once caught one of her staff sleeping while on duty.
“They always relax when the boss is not around. One time I saw my girl sleeping when I entered the shop. Deep sleep that she didn’t even wake up when I entered till I made a serious noise,” she said.
