FCT FA Cup: EFCC set to arrest Family Worship on Saturday

The 2025 FCT President Cup final will see reigning champions EFCC FC squaring up with Family Worship FC (FWC FC) in what promises to be an explosive encounter on Saturday.

Blueprint can report that the venue is not yet decided at the time of filing this report with the likelihood that the final will be at either Area 3 Playing Ground or Bwari Township Stadium.

EFCC FC secured their spot in the final with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Galadima FC in the semifinals, while FWC FC edged out N-Youth Academy 4-1 in a penalty shootout after a 0-0 stalemate.

FWC FC coach, Bunmi Blaire, expressed his team’s determination to lift the trophy, drawing from their past experiences.

“We lost two previous finals on penalties, we lost the NLO Super 8 on penalties, we were defeated in the national play-offs on penalties, so we have learnt our lessons,” Blaire said.

He also acknowledged the familiarity between the two teams, having faced EFCC FC in previous encounters.

“I started up from EFCC as far back as 2012/2013, I interned with them, I understand them… we both know what to expect from the game.”

The FA it was gathered are putting final touches to a glamorous final match with several side attractions between  EFCC FC seeking to defend their title and FWC FC aiming to claim their first FCT FA Cup trophy.
