Rt. Hon. Thomas Ereyitomi, Member House of Representatives representing Warri Federal Constituency in the the House of Representatives, Engr. Kestin Pondi, Managing Director , Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL)and twenty-eight others have bagged awards of excellence at Garden of Life Assembly, Effurun, Delta State 33 years anniversary celebrations in Effurun.

Presenting them with the awards, Archbishop Philip Orovwuje, Spiritual Father/Founder, Garden Of Life Assembly (GOLA) said that the award recipients were honoured because of their avowed steady commitment to the growth and sustained advancement of the church since it’s inception 33 years ago.

He said that the awardees should see the award as a token of appreciation to them for all their contributions towards the growth and sustained stability of the church, he charged them to see it as moral boost to do more in their service to God.

According to Archbishop Orovwuje, “please see this award as my token of appreciation from the bottom of my heart to you for all your committed efforts towards the sustained growth of the church. I am grateful to you all. Thirty three years journey of God’s grace with you. I pray God to bless, protect and uplift you all beyond your expectations.”

Responding on behalf of the awardees, Chief Ereyitomi expressed gratitude to Archbishop Orovwuje and the entire church for bestowing the awards on them.

According to him, “we appreciate the Archbishop and members of the church for the awards on us. The awards would act as a tonic that would spur us to do more for the church. We will continue, by the grace of God, to work and give necessary support to the church. On behalf of other recipients, we are extremely grateful.”

Earlier in his sermon on the theme of the anniversary, “God Is Good”, Bishop Wilson Umukoro, Guest Preacher said, the only being that can be trusted and also perfect is God.

Bishop Umukoro who supported his message with Bible verses of.Matthew 19:17, James 1:17 prayed God to continue to grant the church more growth and advancement.

He said that every perfect thing comes from God, adding, “every perfect gift comes from God, the goodness of God is seen over His works. God has been good to members of this Church. It is the goodness of God that brings about salvation to man adding, it is Jesus’ goodness that has redeemed man. Jesus’ goodness has redeemed you, even if you are a sinner, He considers you, He doesn’t castigate you”.

High point of the event was the launching of the maiden edition of the church magazine, GOLAMAG.
