Former Newcastle United striker, Alan Shearer, has ruled Liverpool out of the Premier League title race.

Shearer believes that the Reds will not retain the trophy they won in Arne Slot’s first season.

He was speaking on Premier League Productions following Liverpool’s 3-0 defeat at home to Nottingham Forest.

The result means they have lost six times already in 12 matches.

Shearer said: “Liverpool are not winning the league. They have lost six games already. That is a lot.bThe league is gone. They’re not winning the league.”

Slot’s men remain eight points behind leaders Arsenal, who host Tottenham in the Super Sunday clash.
