EPL: He stood out – Danny Murphy compares Arsenal star to David Beckham

Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy has compared Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard to England legend David Beckham after he helped the Gunners beat Brighton in Saturday’s Premier League tie.

Murphy said the Norwegian midfielder stood out as Arsenal defeated Brighton 3-0.

Odegaard has been impressive for Arsenal since joining the North London club from Real Madrid few years ago.

“Even among some brilliant Arsenal performances, Martin Odegaard stood out for me,” Murphy wrote in his column for MailSport.

“He set the tone for a hugely impressive win and I can’t pay him a higher compliment than saying his captaincy reminds me of the way David Beckham led the England team I was part of.”
