Manchester City claimed a 3–2 victory over Leeds United on Saturday after Phil Foden scored a stoppage-time winner at the Etihad Stadium.
City went ahead less than a minute into the match when Foden finished from close range following a run by Matheus Nunes. Josko Gvardiol made it 2–0 in the 25th minute, converting from Nico O’Reilly’s header after a VAR check confirmed the goal.
Leeds fought back strongly in the second half. Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled one back in the 49th minute, capitalising on a misplaced pass from Nunes. Leeds levelled in the 68th minute when Lukas Nmecha scored the rebound after his penalty was blocked by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
Foden restored City’s lead in added time, creating space in the box before slotting home the decisive goal. The win moved City into second place, four points behind Arsenal.
Leeds’ sixth defeat in seven matches added further pressure on manager Daniel Farke.
In other Premier League results, Brentford defeated Burnley 3–1 with a brace from Igor Thiago, while Sunderland came from two goals down to beat Bournemouth 3–2 at the Stadium of Light.
