Popular Real Estate firm, Nze Ventures Home Ltd, has gifted a sum of ₦2 million to students in the state in support of their entrepreneurship skills development and learning.
Nze Ventures Home Ltd made this known on Thursday during the Student Business Summit, organised by the Michael Anike Foundation, and held at the International Conference Centre, Enugu.
The Managing Director of the company, who was represented by the Operations Manager, Comrade Arinze Osmund Ngwu, said the gesture was part of the firm’s corporate social responsibility aimed at encouraging students to embrace entrepreneurship and practical learning.
He stated that the company decided to partner with the organizers of the programme because of its vision to equip students with the knowledge and confidence to become self-reliant and job creators, rather than job seekers.
Comrade Ngwu also stated that the ₦2 million support fund would be given to the organizers in support of the programme, which costs a lot of money to put together, as it has been acting as an incubation initiative that benefits students drawn from different tertiary institutions across Enugu State.
He commended Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for creating an enabling environment that promotes innovation and entrepreneurship among young people, stressing that public-private collaboration was vital for sustainable development.
He called on the students to use the opportunities presented by the firm in real estate through their properties at Ogbeke and Amokpo Nike to create room for their economic prosperity, adding that the firm is committed to giving 10% of all the purchases made by their customers to those who attracted them into the company.
“We want young people to understand that opportunities are everywhere. What matters is how you position yourself to take advantage of them. This programme is one of those platforms where ideas can grow into reality.”
“Our company believes that when students are empowered with the right skills and guidance, they will not only improve their lives but also help in building communities that are stronger and more prosperous.”
In his address, the Local Organizing Committee Chairman of the programme, Comrade Onyemaechi Onah, appreciated Nze Ventures Home Ltd for its generous support and described the gesture as a boost to the vision of the summit.
He stated that the sponsorship would inspire more corporate organisations to contribute towards building the capacity of young people in Enugu State, especially in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation.
Onah assured that the funds would be judiciously utilized to achieve the objectives of the summit and pledged that the committee would continue to partner with institutions and companies committed to student development.
Nze Ventures Home Ltd was also gifted an award of excellence for its outstanding contributions towards the development of the youth.
