The stage is set in Abuja as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) sharpens its political sword for the 2026 Ekiti governorship battle as Dr Oluwole Oluyede gets party’s support to contest.

At the heart of this ceremony is the National Chairman of PDP, Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN), who, flanked by members of the National Working Committee (NWC), will lead the high-powered delegation.
The party stated that the NWC will officially present the certificate to its Candidate for the June 20, 2026 Ekiti State Governorship election, noting that “following the successful conduct of the Ekiti State Gubernatorial Primary Election and the Appeal Panel ratification, the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki SAN leading other members of the National Working Committee (NWC) will present the Certificate of Return to its Candidate, for the June 20, 2026 Ekiti State Governorship election Dr. Oluwole Oluyede.”
