The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Lagos Zonal Directorate 1, has arrested 38 individuals suspected of internet fraud in the Ikorodu region of the state.
According to a statement posted on the agency’s Facebook page on Friday, the arrests followed “credible intelligence and thorough surveillance regarding alleged internet fraud activities in the area.”
The operation took place at Mambillah Hotel, Omodisu Street, Ikorodu, Lagos.

Items recovered from the suspects include cars, mobile devices, and a mix of psychoactive and controlled substances.
The agency stated that the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigations.
