
As part of efforts geared to ensure accessible and quality healthcare, the Edo state government said it would commence the registration of over 100 vulnerable persons into the State Health Insurance Scheme, beginning from February 16.
The government also stated that the initiave was geared to mark governor Monday Okpebholo’s 100 days in office and deepen the administration’s commitment to the overall wellbeing of residents.
The Director General of Edo State Health Insurance Commission (EDOHIC), Mrs. Augusta Ikpea-Enaholo, disclosed this during an inspection tour of key health facilities in Edo Central Senatorial District of the state.
She stated that the inspection tour was part of the Commission’s State Equity Plan and Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) Plan, adding that “it marks the commencement of the second phase of the front-loading program.”
