Edo Donates 10 Patrol Vehicles To Police

The Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has donated 10 Toyota Hilux patrol vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force, Irrua Area Command, of the Edo State Police Command.
Speaking during the handover of the vehicles to the police, Governor Okpebholo said the move was aimed at strengthening security operations across the Edo Central Senatorial District and the state in general.
The donation, he said, was also part of the state government’s continued efforts to support security agencies in combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents.
“It is not just because we have bought vehicles for the police. It is because of the concern of our people in terms of security and safety,” he stated.
He expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for deploying the Mobile Police (MOPOL), 82 Squadron to Uromi, describing the move as “very dear” to the people of the region.
He said the vehicles were to aid police operations and ease their movement, noting that the state cannot leave the police without equipment and utility vehicles to easily reach locations where something is happening.
