The Chairman Tinubu/ Shettima 619 Coalition Groups, Ambassador Abdulmumin Salau has hailed President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s pragmatic leadership of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) as the organisation marks its 50 years of existence.

In a statement made available to our correspondent, Sunday evening, the group under the leadership of Ambassador Salau praised the assumption of President Tinubu as the Chairman of ECOWAS two years ago.

“He has brought great feats and unprecedented initiatives aimed at furthering socio- economic, political and regional integration of member states. A testament to President Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s visionary leadership was witnessed during our recent visit to Ivory-Coast where we interacted with the Hon. Minister of Youths, Sports and Rural Development and the good news is that many good news on President Tinubu’s feats have been recognised aimed at moving the sub- region to the next levels”

“Worthy of mention is also our meeting with the Universal Peace Federation Secretary – General Mrs Lorette Elias an organ under the United Nations, where issues on promoting peace and tranquility in the sub- region are discussed.

“In this regard, as the organisation mark its 50/years of creation, under the visionary and dynamic leadership of Jagaban our fervent prayer is that his reign will continue to move the sub-region from strength to strength in his quest of taking ECOWAS  to the eldorado.

“Moreso, our hearts desire under President Tinubu’s leadership, is for the organisation to enjoy more derivables for the common good of members  countries in the sub- region in line with the vision of its founding father’s for a united and indivisible ECOWAS. As adumbrate by the Scripture” When the righteous man is on the throne, the people rejoice” Moreso, we are appealing for a more united and indivisible ECOWAS as United we stand and divided we fall, which means there is strength in unity, which remains a catalyst for achieving any meaningful transformation. As organic and mechanical solidarity is a key factor of taking the entire sub- region to next and desire levels, the statement concluded.
