Eberechi Eze makes U-turn, set to for Crystal Palace against Chelsea

Crystal Palace will include Eberechi Eze in their starting XI against Chelsea on Sunday despite ongoing transfer talks with Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international had been a doubt for the match due to uncertainty over his future, but Palace manager Oliver Glasner has opted to field him at Stamford Bridge as discussions with Spurs continue.

Tottenham, who value the 27-year-old at around £55 million, have stepped up their pursuit following James Maddison’s ACL injury and Son Heung-min’s departure.

Arsenal have cooled their interest, leaving Spurs confident of securing a deal before the transfer deadline.

Talks had progressed on Saturday to the point Eze was expected to be left out of the Palace squad, but with no agreement reached, he has been reinstated.

Palace, meanwhile, remain focused on their upcoming UEFA Conference League debut next week.

Eze, signed from QPR in a deal worth up to £19.5m, has two years left on his contract. QPR are entitled to 15% of any profit from a future sale.

Meanwhile, Tottenham are also monitoring Savinho, though negotiations with Manchester City remain complex.
