The Department of State Services (DSS) has successfully rescued police officer Ibrahim Muhammad, who was kidnapped and held for three months in Patigi, Kwara State.
Muhammad, stationed at the Patigi Division, was abducted by armed men on August 10, 2025.Zagazola Makama reports that the Kwara State Police Command was informed of the rescue by the DSS around 5:00 p.m. on November 9.
Sources revealed that the officer was discovered abandoned in a forest by his captors.
He has since been handed over to the police command and is reported to be in stable condition.
“He is currently undergoing debriefing as part of ongoing investigations,” the sources said.
Police authorities have not disclosed whether ransom was paid or if any suspects have been arrested.
However, they assured that efforts continue to apprehend the kidnappers.The rescue has brought immense relief to the police command and Muhammad’s family, who endured over 90 days of uncertainty.
