The Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Oluwatosin Ajayi, has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja to update him on the deteriorating security situation across the country, especially the surge in abductions and violent attacks in northern Nigeria.
The meeting, which held on Friday night, was disclosed on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
“The Director-General of the Department of State Services, DSS, Mr. Tosin Adeola Ajayi, briefed President Bola Tinubu on the security situation on Friday night,” Onanuga said in a statement.
While specific details of the briefing were not released, government sources indicated that the discussion focused largely on the recent spate of schoolchildren kidnappings and the coordinated measures being taken by security agencies to curb the attacks.
