Don’t Put Pressure On Zubimendi, Mosquera, Kepa –Merino

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino has appealed to the fans not to put pressure on the Spanish trio of Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, and Kepa Arrizabalaga.

In a chat with the club’s website, Merino stated that the players need time to adapt to Gunners manager Mikel Arteta’s style of play.

“David (Raya) and I are the veterans here, the Spanish veterans of the team. So we try to help them as much as possible to understand who is who, the names, where to go. I know that at first it’s all too much for anyone. So many new faces, a new place, a new environment, and it takes time to adapt.

“When I arrived here, I really appreciated David helping me settle in quickly. That’s what we’re trying to do, too, and they’re good guys, so they’ll settle in very quickly. They’re not only extraordinary signings with great footballing ability, but also really nice people to be around.

“That’s what this club stands for. It’s not just about having good players, but also good people who contribute to creating a positive atmosphere and a good environment for everyone. The entire club is helping these new arrivals settle in as quickly as possible. They’re doing their best to learn the language and adapt quickly.”
