LAFIA – As part of preparation for the 2027 general election, Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has warned political actors in the state not to heat up the polity as it was not yet time for political campaigns.
The Governor made the disclosure during a bio-monthly press conference held in Lafia, the state capital.
The governor who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs Mr Peter Ahemba, said that the political actors in the should desist any act capable of heating up the game, now that Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) is yet to lifted the campaign activities in the state.
According to him, ” I’m advising all governorship candidates and senators to act with respect, because they must avoid act capable of heating up the politics. The Independent National Electoral commission has not lifted campaign activities yet.
“The act of those aspiring to succeed the governor is becoming worrisome in the state. Their act is is more less of heating up the politics unnecessary, their act is distracting the governor who is barely two years on his second tenure,” the SSA warned.
While speaking on the achievement of the governor Abdullahi Sule, Mr. Peter Ahemba, noted that the government would continue to do the needful to ensure that people’s oriented projects goes across all nook crannies of the state in order to better the living condition of the people of Nasarawa State.
Mr. Peter Ahemba, added that, recently the governor had approved scholarship to indigenous students studying in higher institutions across the country.
The SSA however called on the citizens of the Nasarawa State to give governor Abdullahi Sule, the needed support to enable him achieve his mandate.
