Cyriel Dessers has officially joined Greek Super League side Panathinaikos on a three-year deal following his departure from Rangers.

The 29-year-old Nigerian striker ended his two-season stay in Glasgow, where he scored 52 goals in 117 appearances, winning the League Cup, the Scottish Premiership Golden Boot, and the Sam English Bowl.

Dessers becomes Panathinaikos’ 10th summer signing, following the arrivals of Pedro Chirivella, Georgios Kyriakopoulos, Milos Pantovic, Ahmed Touba, David Calabria, Konstantinos Kotsaris, Anass Zaroury, Renato Sanches and Alban Lafont.

He has been handed the No.33 jersey in Athens, previously worn by players such as Panagiotis Armenakas, Mladen Petric and Orestis Karnezis.

With 163 goals and 57 assists in 396 senior appearances across Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Scotland, Dessers arrives with a proven scoring pedigree.
