Chris Madu, coordinator of Delta United for Progress, has lauded the recent appointment of Ms. Isioma Theodora Ndah as the South-South coordinator for the campaign advocating reserved seats for women in Nigerian politics. According to Madu, this appointment is not only a recognition of Ndah’s steadfast dedication to advancing women’s political participation but also a clear vote of confidence in her leadership and ability to mobilize, unify, and inspire women across the region.

Madu emphasized the timely significance of Ndah’s new role, noting that the reserved seats for women bill is slated for its third reading in October 2025. “This bill promises to create a formal platform for women’s voices, long marginalized, to be effectively heard in the nation’s decision-making processes,” he said in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja.

“At the heart of this transformative initiative is Ms. Isioma Ndah, who will lead efforts in the South-South to galvanize women, sustain momentum, and ensure that the push for gender inclusivity does not wane,” Madu added.

He described Ndah’s appointment as a milestone for women’s empowerment, a strategic asset for the All Progressives Congress (APC), and a source of inspiration for millions of young Nigerian women aspiring to political leadership. “Ms. Ndah embodies resilience, truth, and the unwavering determination essential for this movement. She is a unifying force for women, a reliable strategist for the APC, and a beacon of hope for inclusive governance in Nigeria,” Madu stated.

Highlighting Ms. Ndah’s extensive political experience, Madu recalled her candidature as the APC representative for the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency during the 2019 elections. Beyond electoral politics, Ndah currently serves as the national coordinator of the National Frontiers and Mobilisation Initiative and is the driving force behind the Odinma Anioma Group, both well-known APC support organizations.

“Through her persistent efforts, Ms. Ndah has not only fortified the party’s influence but also advanced the cause of women, building a loyal following that transcends partisan lines,” Madu remarked. “Her work is rooted in genuine service, especially for women who have historically been excluded from political power.”

As the bill nears a crucial legislative milestone, Isioma Theodora Ndah’s leadership is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping Nigeria’s future political landscape by championing greater gender representation and inclusivity.
