Dele Momodu Calls PDP ‘a Cadaver Room’ Hijacked by APC Agents

Chief Dele Momodu, a publisher and politician, has labeled the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) a “cadaver room” infiltrated by agents of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking on Channels TV on September 8, 2025, the former PDP chieftain explained his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC), citing the PDP’s loss of integrity.

“I resigned from PDP because I saw that we had reached a kind of call to sack,” Momodu said.

“PDP has been completely hijacked by agents of the ruling party who insist on staying in PDP while working for the APC. If I don’t agree with my party, the honourable thing to do is to resign, and that’s what I did.”

He emphasized that his decision aligns with his longstanding principle of leaving parties that no longer reflect his values.

Momodu recalled his 2011 presidential bid under the National Conscience Party (NCP) after leaving the Labour Party, which showed no interest in fielding a presidential candidate.

“I resigned honourably and moved to the NCP,” he said, noting that he secured about 26,000 votes nationwide.

“I feel privileged to have been a presidential candidate in Nigeria. The lesson is that it’s difficult for a smaller party to win a presidential election,” he added.
