Political strategist, Professor Udenta, has described the recent defection of some Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as cowardly and gutless acts.

He said the defections were motivated by selfish ambitions rather than genuine political principles or ideology.

Udenta made the remarks on Tuesday, while speaking during an interview on Arise Television.

He dismissed claims that the PDP was collapsing, insisting instead that the party remained politically vibrant and deeply rooted in the people.

Udenta, who is the founding National Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), also clarified his earlier remarks about former President Goodluck Jonathan’s political future, saying they were based purely on political analysis and not insider information.

“When I spoke partially about the prospect of the former president, I didn’t speak as a spokesperson. He has not declared a political context in the election.

“Even his membership of the party is only for him to clarify the status of that membership,” he explained.
