Premier League side Wolves have reportedly agreed to a £24 million deal to sign Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian side Genk.
The move is subject to a medical, which the 24-year-old a is expected to undergo upon his arrival in England.
The Super Eagles forward enjoyed a standout campaign last season, scoring 23 goals and providing seven assists in 43 appearances, finishing as the Jupiler Pro League’s joint-top scorer as Genk secured third place.
Arokodare is expected in England for a medical before finalising a five-year contract at Molineux. His arrival will strengthen Wolves’ attacking options alongside Jørgen Strand Larsen, who the club are determined to keep despite rejecting bids of £50m and £55m from Newcastle.
Wolves boss Vítor Pereira has long wanted extra firepower to support Larsen, and Arokodare is seen as a partner rather than a replacement for the Norwegian.
Since joining Genk from Latvian side Valmiera in 2023, Arokodare has netted 41 goals in 113 appearances, establishing himself as one of Africa’s emerging strikers in Europe.
Meanwhile, Wolves are also exploring a move for former Burnley captain Josh Brownhill, available on a free transfer after leaving Turf Moor.
The new additions come at a critical time, with Wolves rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table after losing all three of their opening matches, including a 3-2 home defeat to Everton on Saturday.
