Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna state has directed a statewide mobilisation campaign to ensure that no eligible citizen was left out of the forthcoming voter registration exercise.
The Commissioner of Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, who conveyed the directive in Kaduna on Monday, said the exercise would consolidate democracy and strengthen inclusive governance.
“His Excellency, the Governor of Kaduna state, has directed that no eligible citizen should be left behind in this crucial exercise. This is not only about participation; it is about securing the democratic rights of our people and deepening inclusive governance,” he said.
Maiyaki explained that the Ministry of Information was working with the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, the Bureau of Religious Affairs, and traditional and religious leaders to ensure awareness reached every ward, village, and community.
He said the mobilisation drive reflected the governor’s vision of a people-centred administration where every voice counted and every citizen had a stake in shaping the state’s future.
“We call on all stakeholders—community leaders, youth groups, women’s organisations, and civic actors—to rally behind this effort and make participation a collective success,” the commissioner added.
