He also doubles as the State Coordinator for the INEC-CVR Initiative.
Speaking during an advocacy visit to the INEC office in Calabar, Dr. Abuo stressed the governor’s determination to ensure that more eligible residents take part in the registration exercise.
According to him, “The governor has vowed to do everything possible to encourage eligible persons in the state to get themselves registered.
“No stone will be left unturned to step up electoral value in Cross River State.”
Abuo further assured that his team would consolidate on the successes recorded so far to make sure INEC’s mandate is realized across the state.
In response, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr. Johnson S. Alalibo, welcomed the team and reiterated INEC’s commitment to providing the necessary technical support.
He emphasised that the commission would maintain neutrality and ensure a level playing field for all political actors and stakeholders.
Prince Abuo was accompanied on the visit by members of the Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON), including the group’s Secretary, Mr. Eta Ekong.
The REC commended the initiative and urged residents of the state to seize the opportunity to register ahead of the 2027 elections.
