CP FCT visits DSS, pledges stronger synergy to strengthen security in FCT


In a move aimed at strengthening inter-agency collaboration and improving the overall quality of security service delivery in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the Commissioner of Police, FCT, CP Miller Dantawaye, Wednesday, paid a familiarisation visit to the State Director, Department of State Services (DSS), FCT Command.

A press statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, in Abuja, said the high-level engagement centered on enhancing intelligence sharing, joint operations, and coordinated responses to ensure the safety and security of all residents within the territory.

She said while speaking during the visit, CP Dantawaye commended the DSS for its unwavering commitment to national security and emphasised the importance of continuous collaboration between sister agencies.

The PPRO said he noted that synergy, mutual trust, and timely information exchange remained critical to sustaining the peace and safety currently being enjoyed across the FCT.

According to the statement, in his response, the Director, DSS, appreciated the visit and pledged his Command’s full support in ensuring that security agencies continue to work seamlessly to maintain the capital city’s status as one of the safest in the nation.

She said the visit, described as strategic and productive, marks another milestone in the renewed commitment of security agencies to jointly deliver effective and efficient services to the people of the FCT.
