A Benin High Court has remanded one Gabriel Caleb (26) over murder of one Sule Yakubu in Edo State.
The suspect, and others at large, were alleged to have, on or about January 2, 2025, at Ihievbe community, conspired to commit the crime.
They were reportedly armed with guns and other dangerous weapons and shot the victim dead.

The prosecutor told the court that after shooting the victim dead, they allegedly buried him in a shallow grave.

He said the offences were punishable under Sections 247 (1) and 242 of the Criminal Law of Edo State Law, 2022.
Justice Williams Azeigbemhin remanded the suspect in police custody while awaiting advice from the state Department of Public Prosecution (DPP).
